"Parampara" is the story of a battlefield that is always thirsty for the blood of brave protagonists. Once upon a time, two people came to fight each other to satiate the thirst of this battle ground. According to the traditions of this land, Thakur Bhavani Singh, the land owner and Raja Bahadur, the Chief of the Gypsies fought a duel with only one bullet each in their pistols and decided the right of the disputed land. The one who survived became the lawful owner of the property.

Thus Gora Shankar lost his father Raja Bahadur in one dispute and Thakur Bhavani Singh lost his son Prithvi in another dispute. But the blood thirsty land was no appeared. Tara the Gypsy girl lost her love and her life at the hands of the tradition bound Thakur, and Rajeshwari lost her husband to the same tradition.

But the new generation, the men of the new world, today's world, grew up ignorant of this violent tradition. The Gypsy girl's son Ranbir and the Rajput daughter-in-law's son Pratap met each other, made a happy four - some with their beloved Vijaya and Sapna and sang song of youth and a brave new world. But the fate had something else in store for them.

Today the songs of love and friendship are silenced. Today they stood facing each other as protagonists on that same blood thirsty land. Tradition bound, they stood with one bullet each in their pistols, ready to settle a dispute of honour. Will the old order of tradition win or will the new order bring in a new era of peace and harmony? Will the blood of one grandson be shed to appear the rigid traditions of the Thakur grandfather or will the father's supreme sacrifice save both his sons. Will one brother have to shed the blood of the other to finally satiate the blood thirsty land or will this tradition finally revolt against itself ?
